About the Artist
Scott Brown is not an award-winning watercolorist, nor is he a member of any Watercolor Society. His work has not received any accolades or awards, nor has it been included in any shows. Most recently, however, a poster on wetcanvas.com said “Well painted!” and included a smiley face.
His paintings are not going to be published in any magazines or publications except for his own egoistic web site. Scott has done no professional artwork for anyone, nor studied art in any academic setting. He studied art with Chuck Long in a cold concrete studio behind a toy store every other Thursday evening for while, though.
Scott maintains a studio in his closet/gym/studio combo in Madison, AL, as well as on the kitchen island of his weekend home in Crane Hill, AL.
Scott is happily married to Sharon, and has two sons. A beagle, two cats, and many fish and corals round out the mix.
Artist’s Statement
"While I pretend to be an artist, I really don’t have much of an idea what I am doing. I don’t sell my paintings, as I don’t think that much of most of them. I also rarely destroy or give my paintings away as I have a personal attachment to them. But once in a while, I paint something I actually like. Some of those are posted here."
